New rower

Post by netwitt » April 1st, 2007, 4:59 pm

Hello,

Just got my Concept II last week, and I'm lovin' it. My queston is, on the DVD that came with it (with the 4 rowers), they mention a 'score' a couple of times (2.5, etc), and bringing it down as you improve.

I haven't figured out where on the readout that is... if it's there. Does it show on the display, or is this something we need to calculate?

I've got the Model D with PM3.
Thanks!

You might be talking about 2k score...in which case that is the time to row a 2000 meter piece.
500M 1.32.3 - 2k 6:56.5 - 5k 18:49 - 6k 22:34.8

I'm guessing that they were talking about pace/500 meters (that is, the amount of time it would take to go 500 meters in the sort of boat modeled in the PM3). If you're looking at pace/500 meters (which is one of the display options on your PM3), then bringing the pace down represents a faster pace. The PM3 can show both current pace & average pace. A lower number would be better on either of them.

Other things displayed include distance, speed, calories & watts (where higher would be faster).

HTH,

Alissa
