PM4 isn't working
PM4 isn't working
Just set up my rower w/ PM 4. When I start rowing the PM "starts" but doesn't show any progress as I row. All of the data fields remain on zero. Is there a start button? What am I missing?

Re: PM4 isn't working
I'll assume you've checked that the wire from the flywheel sensor is connected to the bottom of the monitor correctly.
Is the PM4 configured for the right model of rower?
Main menu --> More options --> Utilities --> Product ID
If not then
Main menu --> More options --> Utilities --> LCD Contrast
Once on the LCD Contrast menu press [CHANGE UNITS] three times then [CHANGE DISPLAY] three times.
That brings up the opaque configuration menu where you can reset the rower model.
If that makes no difference then you need to check the electrical resistance of the flywheel sensor to make sure it's no gone open circuit. The wire can get cut by the monitor arm. The other failure is loosing the magnets off the flywheel (if you've been cleaning it).

Re: PM4 isn't working
Hahaha. I read instructions completely and there is nothing about attaching a wire from the flywheel to the monitor. Sure enough, I had the same problem as above and dug around for a wire (it was not visible). All's ok. Thanks for the thread (I'm obviously a newbie
).
