What is Crash-B?

Hi guys, real new here, but rowing has ignited a passion in me! Can someone please tell me what a "crash B" competition is? Are there Crash As?

It's an acronym for "Charles River All Star Has-Beens" (C.R.A.S.H-Bs). It's now the "World" Indoor Rowing Championships.
