I just purchased a Concept -2 with a PM-2 monitor on it.
I have just started out rowing for about a month, 4-5 times a week for 30 min.
I am addicted to this thing.
I Wanted to know is it worth it to up grade to a PM-3 or 4 Monitor?
Would it help my performance and or my training.
Also how do i find out about different work out routines
Thanks
Joe

No.
The pm2 monitor is by far the best one to use.

Re: Training Monitor and Routines
The PM2 was the standard for the longest continuous period in C2's history and is quite adequate for all the training one would normally need.Joek510 wrote:I just purchased a Concept -2 with a PM-2 monitor on it.

ErgMonitor (see site below) can give you a very broad range of feedback, well in excess of the PM3/4, if you like that sort of thing. (I like it, but not everyone is a "rowing geek/data head")
The interactive training plans on either the USA or UK site will give you a lot of ideas on what to do, and just being part of the forum and asking will get varried and interesting answers.
Welcome to the fray.

Joe,
I row with both the PM2( at home) and the PM4 (at the club). The major difference is the PM3 and PM4 give you access to memory cards and online rowing software, like RowPro or ErgMonitor, and I find the way they record splits a little easier to setup and a better display for recall after workout. I've thought about upgrading the PM2 to a PM3 so I could use the software, but I'd need a 20' computer cable and peer around two corner glasses to hook up to my computer. So for me, the upgrade doesn't add a lot of value.
