Weight Adjustment Calculator...

Post by vineethonkan » December 4th, 2006, 2:04 am

Is there someone out there who can clearly explain to me how this works?

In other words, what does the answer mean?

weight in itself means nothing. It is about lean bodyweight. And then it still doesn,t mean much. If you are small and light you can ajust untill you weight an ounce it will not make you better in reality.

Attempt to Compensate for Mass

Post by igoeja » December 4th, 2006, 7:47 am

The best erg performances are typically scored by the biggest rowers, often over 6'4" and 100 kilograms, but the best on-the-water performance would require some mixture of higher performance and lower weight. The equation tries to compensate for the drag created by having greater mass, since rowing performance best correlates with an equation between the absolute and relative calculations.

Als, please read the title; this is a section for FAQ's, not general questions.
