Noob Update

Post by gkucera » October 25th, 2008, 12:14 pm

Thanks all for the information; I have been slightly under the weather all week, so have no update other than to correct my math.
I took the long hike downstairs to my machine to see the actual numbers; they are worse than I estimated from memory. My 2K times in the low 7:40s (42 - 44) were at about 38.3 spm. Reworking the math I am at an anemic 6.74 m/s. My 5k times were only slightly "better". It is fairly obvious what needs to happen; I need to work on my stroke. My plan will be to improve m/s at a consistent tempo until I am consistent and near 8 m/s. I would hope I can start improving my 2k & 5k times with spm < 38. The useful information posted here and elsewhere on the forum will certainly play its part if I can do that.
My friend says RowPro has a tutor that helps; I may try that to assist. I will post an update for future noobs and those who advise them.
Thanks, again! George

I think you need to stop posting in the "Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)" section of the forum and move to the "Training" section.

For simple posting about a workout post on
http://c2forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3 (the "What Training Have You Done Today?" thread, rather than starting new topics)

George,

Sounds like a good plan.

Thanks for the update.

Thanks to both. I will post any new threads in the sections you mentioned Dougie. Thanks. I didn't mean to start a new thread, but respond to the last message on my original thread. Alas... Can we delete a thread?

I can (normally just so I can delete the SPAM), I won't delete this one.
