e-row

Post by [old] SteveV » June 4th, 2004, 10:23 am

Just setup a new toy, got a webcam in the garage connected to a webserver, planning to fire it up during e-row sessions, hopefully get some feedback on how crap my technique is.

No software required, you will just need to point your browser at my IP address. Could be quite usefull during e-row training, will be able to see each other suffering as well as see their progress in e-row.

No need to use yahoo messenger, the webcam will be accessible to all with web access

Usually train at 19:40 tues and thurs, might fire it up sooner to test it out

As a test the webcam is setup pointing at the garden as wee speak. The Cam isn't on 24/7 so this address won't always work but try http://80.168.30.236:8081

Would be interested to see how good the quality is over the net, it should be real time streaming video similar to the WIRC webcast but without the audio

think some users may have problems as there browser is rejecting the jave applet. Check your browser security setings to see if applets are being blocked.

Works good Steve, but your backyard could use some grass instead of stone!

Working fine here in sunny California, I can see the wind blowing the tablecloth and the potted plant in the corner. I'm not sure the frame rate is really high enough to make it easy for someone to judge your erg technique, but that probably won't stop people from telling you what to do anyhow

What sort of camera hardware are you using, and what is the maximum upload speed on your connection?
