Hello

Because all the problems with the forum and with myself, I moved
the Sprint Weekend to the weekend: May 28-29-30

I am not ready with the rules but I think I will use the World records
again as comparation

The Sprint is thought as meeting for us, to share trainings plans,
to check our condition, and to activate e-row

Everybody is welcome, please invite another rowers too

We start on Friday with 500m, then Saturday 1000m and Sunday 1500m
Start time is flexible but better is we post it early enough to let anothers
to participate (something as by Le Tour: as standard name)

Questions or suggestions for more fun are welcome

Marilyn
Supercanoa

Hi Everybody

If you remember, one of the changes for Le Tour 2004 was
that we will not use the WR' (World record) List, we will use a "Best of"'s list
with the best results from BIRC, WIRC and European IRC
I made a list, please check for errors. For some of you
is the table worse than the WR's Table but the idea was that
every year we mix the cards again for more fun
I will use this table for the Sprint weekend the first time.

For people that don't understand what I mean, read the rules of Le Tour
2003: Le Tour 2003

Best of: European, British and World IRC Saisson 2003-2004
05:39,6 open 01:24,9 Pavel Shurmei
05:51,4 M30H 01:27,9 Graham Benton
06:03,0 M40H 01:30,8 Anti Niskanen
06:06,9 open LWT 01:31,7 Ebbesen,Eskild
06:06,9 M30L 01:31,7 Ebbesen,Eskild
06:12,3 M50H 01:33,1 Dick Cashin
06:22,8 M40L 01:35,7 Robert Meenk
06:23,7 M60H 01:35,9 Paul Hendershott
06:28,0 M50L 01:37,0 Rich Cureton
06:58,2 F40H 01:44,6 Tracey Axten
07:01,8 F30H 01:45,5 Martha Garcia
07:03,8 F30L 01:46,0 Lisa Schlenker
07:06,1 M60L 01:46,5 Philip Stubley
07:07,8 F50H 01:47,0 Anna Bailey
07:16,2 M70H 01:49,1 Bill Payne
07:25,1 F50L 01:51,3 Joan Van Blom
07:25,3 M70L 01:51,3 Dean Smith
07:29,4 F40L 01:52,4 Pam Raila
07:47,1 F60H 01:56,8 Barbara Pike
08:05,4 F60L 02:01,4 Luanne Mills
08:48,9 F70H 02:12,2 Janet Kennedy
08:54,4 M80H 02:13,6 Denis Melody
08:54,4 M80L 02:13,6 Denis Melody
08:59,4 F70L 02:14,9 Eve Green

Regards
Marilyn
Hi

The rules are ready and I created some races as example. You can create
races at your desired hourtime, take only care that they have the right name

Don't forget to invite another rowers. How I said, it is thought as meeting
To check how many people is still alive

Marilyn
I didn't see it written in the rules section, but I assume that slides are not allowed for the sprint series.

Cheers,

Paul Flack

Hi Paul

I update the rules extra for you. Anyway I am organizing it more als meeting
To check how you are doing and maybe to active some trainings groups

I think we should train at least one time in the week online to don't lost
the contact between us.

Another point, just curious...where you running? outside? Joachim was talking too about the Boston Marathon and how fine would be to run there too. Maybe he wants to join you. He is training now for a marathon here in Flensburg. He means he needs to run 1500KM until Septmber as training

Marilyn
Joachim is welcome to stay here if he is running in the Boston marathon. I probably won't have the ankles to qualify for Boston. If I don't qualify, I could still drop Joachim off at the start and pick him up at the end. Our 3 rd floor guest room will be completed by then.

I didn't win the lottery for the Marine Corps marathon held in Washington D.C. in October. So, I am going to try to qualify for the Boston marathon by running in the Philadelphia marathon in Novermber.

Cheers,

Paul Flack

Oh, I didn't know Boston has Qualifying times too. Where do you find so many people for a marathon? Here in Europe, I don't remember Qualifying times
in any marathon (except London I think)

Qualifyng times

Joachim was in marathons in Paris, Stockolm, Milan, Barcelona, Berlin, Caracas, Viena, Munich and small towns and never I remember he needed qualifying times. They are hard in Boston. It means you need to run a marathon before you run in the Boston marathon?
What about to run here in Munich your first try?
Munich Marathon

Marilyn
Sorry Marilyn, I did not know what happened tonight during 500m sprint. I have used e-row some 20 times before with no problems. I had checked in and pressed the OK button for start. Then appeared communication problems. I had not touched the handle even. Marilyn asked me to reclick Ok. I was not able to do that. I tried to log off and come back again after waiting for a some 5 minutes. I would have been happy to join the race but did really not know what to do. I do not mind but feeling a bit ashamed after being a burden to everbody else. Has anybody any ecplanation to what probably caused such an error.

Cheers,

Arno
