Clank Sound On Model D

Hi, I just got my C2 Model D and I'm very happy with it, but there is a little thing that annoys me - there is a clank sound coming somewhere from the flywheel/chain entry area everytime I either pull the chain at the beginning of the move, or when I start releasing it from the fully extended position. Which basically means everytime the chain either starts pushing against the flywheel or lets go off it. I can as well reproduce the sound by pulling the handle out to any position and then moving it back and forth by just a centimeter or two. Click click click click.... I only have like 20 000 m on it, is it supposed to be doing that sound?

Hi Tom- That's an unusual one. Are there any other symptoms? Try removing the plastic cover on the bottom of the front end and look at the return mechanism for anything out of place, like a bungee cord contacting the chain or an axle, or the chain off of a pulley. Have someone else row while you observe/listen for the noise. You should call C2 tech support to see if we can trouble shoot it. JonW
