How do you know when someone is in the chat room? I'm sure it used to say at the bottom of the page somewhere? Or does it only say if there is actually someone there, and nothing at all if noone there?<br><br>Well I'm in there at the moment if anyone wants to pop in...

pete - the info at the bottom of the main page about chat room occupants is refreshed every 5 minutes so you have to be in for a while before others will see the notice - and then the notice only shows if you happen to look.<br><br>one though - there is a list of all 'current' visitors that appears near the bottom of the main page as well - by clicking on these names you can send PM's to invite someone into the chat room - these PM's seem to show up (for me) quite quickly.<br><br>-bill

I think if you want to chat, you are better off using Yahoo! Messenger or MSN and I have to thank Marilyn from Supercanoa for this discovery. <br><br>Another postive note from Yahoo! is "Yahoo! Mobile". You can text message to cell phones, in the US anyways. It is free to send the messages (provided your cell phone service does not charge for receiving text messages which AT&T does not). I believe the limit is 5 a day or it might be 3. <br><br>You can also download Yahoo! Messenger on your cell phone and I think with MSN as well. I don't have that capability with my cell phone but it is probably available with most. This would be good if you were scheduled to race or train on erow and you got tied up at work or some other commitment. Or, if you wanted to see who was on-line and might want to schedule something for later.

hey guys...<br><br>other sites have a "shoutbox". it's like irc except you have to keep refreshing yr page to see new shouts. threads like this one are for posting a topic... then people argue or talk on a day to day basis... it's like using the postal service as opposed to the telephone...<br><br>just an idea... admin?<br><br>cheers all...<br><br>
