hi everyone im from new zealand and i need sum help our local gym is havin a contest against other towns on the concept 2 the distance is over 2000m and today was my first practice i did 6:50 which is ok for my first real hit out i have done abit of rowing in the past.our team has only about 1 and a half months to train,have you any training programes you can suggest to me,today my legs gave out before anything else did which suggests i mite need more power in them.<br />well i thought i would ask you guys and girls first as you all seem to have plenty of knowledge so any help would be great.<br />thanks.

hey.<br />welcome!<br />I'm from Taranaki NZ<br />Check out this site :http://www.nzira.org/<br />And go to 'events' 2006 racing calender.<br /><br />If theres any races in your area, you should come along, tell your mates to aswell. Its always good to have new people at the comps, plus if you hate teh 2k (like me!) you can do shorter stuff (1k, 500m, 300m and 100m) or even a relay (4x 500m)<br /><br />Good luk with your contest
