hello! i have a question...if my coach made the team do a 2k at a low rate (24-26) with a damper at a 5, what is the reasoning behind that? Also, if i got a 7:45 on this, what should i expect to get if i can have whatever rating i want? thanks!

When you rate high you can push the acid all the way to 12-16 which requires an approriate amount of recovery, a couple of days of compensation training. By rating low you learn to bring more torque to the stroke.
Where do you row and who is your coach?
If you pulled 745 at 26 and you are capable of rating 32 for 2K, you can do the math, and get a ball park range.
XENO
