On Wednesday I reached a significant, to me, milestone on my model C:
2000 hours of erging
I needed to post it here, because my family neither really cares nor understands, but here at least people will understand.
I have never had to replace anything, except batteries. I also updated to the PM2+.

David

2000 hrs, if I rowed 2hrs a day from the day I started I would still only be on less than 1500 hrs!!! And believe me I have not rowed 2hrs a day every day.

We all care David, keep it up
Wow - I am at 1/100th distance of yours and feel I am good. Well now it feels like relative. Well its Einstein Year anyway - so I am in line with physics still - that makes me feel good again.

Whats your best time and how many k's per day you row and when - morning time?

David,

Huge congratulations to you!

I just now added mine up and am surprised to see the total is up to 29,494,399 meters!

Another 1/2 a million and I'll be over 30 million as well.

Keep up the great rowing!

A true inspiration to me, a new guy who started in early May. I was excited to just get to 50 hours so I could oil my chain! You've done it 40 times!

Regards -- Mark

I am astonished! 30 million meters with an average pace of 2:00 for a lightweight. I don't train for races and usually just row a set time. I watch the average pace and for anything under 45 minutes don't let the split be over 2:00. (Used to be for an hour or more, but I'm getting older )
I prefer to row early, but between work, and having 5 kids and a wife who works more than full time, I usually don't get to row until late at night

David
Thank you very much everyone.
I am not particularly fast, but I have good stamina. I don't train for races, but I don't like seeing split times above 2:00, which was easier when I was younger
I also wanted to have a mean distance of 7500 m/day for every day since I received my erg. That is actually somewhat harder for me than it sounds, because while I have days of not rowing while on vacation, family commitments, "don't feel like it" days, etc. I am also an orthodox Jew, so am forbidden to row on Saturdays and Holidays. So for days on which I'm allowed to row, even if don't, my mean distance is over 9000 m/day.

That is an astonishing record indeed. On November 28 I will complete 10 years on my C2 and will be somewhere around 1350 hours (1345 as of today). I am a little over 19 million meters so your statistics are awesome. Congratulations.

john
