Tell me what your "favourite"(most hated) erg test is. personally i think it is the 2km because you dont really get a chance to get into a comfortable rhythm.

I HATE 2km ergo tests. Im not even sure its is the fact that you do not get a chance to settle into a rhythm. It is 200 strokes (or there abouts) of pure h*** but even after you settle to race pace after the start I always feel like i am chasing it.
Mentally it very challenging. You have to sprint and lay down all your power, but you have to be smart about it, you dont want to blow up at 1500m.

I voted for "Other".

Full Marathon is tougher than 2K in my book.

Voted 2k because, although shorter than, eg, a marathon, it's the single one piece (in sport?) by which you can throw yourself into h*** in less than 7 minutes.

AM

Voted "other".
The most exhausted I have been in my life was after my first (and by now only) FM, not to mention the b***-ache!
2k is VERY tough, but it goes through quite fast. I think a proper planning and mental preparation helps very much, though it doesn't make it easy!

I suppose it depends whether you set an aggressive target for the FM or are just look to completing it.

I've done two FMs (April and Sept).

I voted other because I don't have a personal 'most hated'. I don't like long distances, have never done more than a half marathon, and dislike each event more as the distance increases. That said, I would like to do longer events and would like to do all 10 ranking pieces, I suppose I need to become more resolved for that to happen.

john
