at what pace (500 meter pace) should a person who pulls a 7:29 be able to row for 90 minutes?

In the C2 training guide, 2.09/500 is the UT2 pace that corresponds w/ a 7.28 2k. So if you've got a background of endurance training, and you're in top shape, you probably could go several seconds/500 faster. If you haven't done a lot of endurance work, then 2.09/500 might be a trial.

If you're inexperienced at rowing long pieces, set out at a conservative pace and pick it up gradually if you can.

Tom

If you have begun erging recently, don't try to get to the 90 min too fast. Make some 5-10 k pieces, and find your comfortable pace.
Probably a seatpad or some bubble wrap on the seat will do you good when rowing 90 min . Also have some water handy.
Anyway, keep it very smooth and relaxed.
Have a good row!
