Trying to add Lynsey Richards (ranking id# 141998)

I get

QUOTE

There are multiple individuals with the same information in our database. Please contact Concept2 for more information

Trying to add Phil Tilley (ranking id# 185870)

Originally I got the "duplicate ..." so I've got Phil's password from him.

I get no messages, but he isn't added to the team.

Help!!!

BTW, rather than needing a password from the team member, wouldn't it be better if we could just use the ranking id # (which is clearly unique for each person). That would make your website design just a bit more sane.

ranking ID is a known number - password is hopefully not - so this gives the member a bit more control over being added or not. i'll look into why phil tilley can't be added.

-bill

QUOTE(Citroen @ Dec 28 2005, 05:54 AM)

Trying to add Lynsey Richards (ranking id# 141998)

I get

QUOTE

There are multiple individuals with the same information in our database. both phil and lynsey should now be correctly added to your team.

-bill

QUOTE(c2bill @ Dec 28 2005, 05:34 PM)

ranking ID is a known number - password is hopefully not - so this gives the member a bit more control over being added or not. i'll look into why phil tilley can't be added.

-bill

QUOTE(Citroen @ Dec 28 2005, 05:54 AM)

Trying to add Lynsey Richards (ranking id# 141998)

I get

QUOTE

There are multiple individuals with the same information in our database. i've modified the 'add new member' page so that you are now prompted for "ranking ID#" instead of password. In theory... there are no two ranking ID's that are the same so this system should be more foolproof than the prior one for sorting out between duplicate profiles when adding team members. Please let me know how you make out.

-bill

I'm team captain for the "Ergonauts" and I have only been able to add members to my team when I was the one who created the profile. I tried using passwords and it still didn't work. The three people I am trying to add are:

Jamie Boyle (
jamieboyle@yahoo.com)
Dan Lively (
dan@livelylawoffice.com)
Cait Lively (
mdlively@earthlink.com)

I either get "no user exists" or else no message at all, but the person is not added.
Help! Thanks

hank - it appears that the 'ranking ID' based system has taken care of this? i see kirsten v is now a team member for you - let me know if you have any other questions.

bp
