Hello,

My goal by May is to have a sub 6:40 2000M. Right now my PB from last year (June) stands at 6:51.9 @ 29. Currently, my 2005 best is 6:55.5 @ 30, which I did while I was sick. My pre-on water pracitce usually consists of 30Minutes, 10Ks, 20Minutes, and 40Minutes. I will be posting my work outs and would like input/advice on what to do for training.

Thank you.

Well you are doing a lot better than me. Im a junior heavy weight, having rowed for 1.5 years my Pb is only 7:16. I dont know if that makes you feel better. But in one year i have shreaded 18 seconds of my time on a 2k. I do my 6k at around 23 min something. My best 5k is at a 19:40 wich is good. But i havent trained good since about 2 weeks now so im getting out of shape. Just a break between seasons that i hate. its when i have to train alone wich is not fun what so ever so yeah i dont you have to worry about a darn thing

Did an hour of power (negative split like all my recent pieces) today: 1:57.8 @ 22SPM was the split. Tommorow I will try and hit a 1:53.5 30Minute around a rate 26 -28. Dropped my 60min PB by 2.1 split seconds and at 2 beats lower.

30Minutes today, strapless once again, 7814Meters, i believe it was a 1:55.2 split, missed PR by .3 but wasnt going for.

Seat racing comming up, so I am going to switch training from long pieces to shorter, sprint, more power oriented pieces to be one step ahead of the competition.
