My wife has started to row and wants to use a seat pad on the model C at the gym. The pad sold on the C2 site has adhesive backing. It's been suggested that I leave the backing on so the adhesive doesn't stick to the seat, so we can bring the pad back and forth between home and the gym. Does anyone have experience doing this? Will the pad slip while she's rowing?<br>thanks<br>Hank

I have a pad on mine at home, stuck down. If you left the backing on (it's paper) I think that it will become worn, peal off...also, it's sorta waxy and would surely slip. My suggestion is to take the paper off, place non-skid stuff (rubbery stuff like you put in drawers, toolboxes) onto the sticky surface, therefor covering the sticky and still having a non -skid backing, hopefully when sitting on wont slip. just trim up.

My advice would be to use an old towel folded with no creases in it , that is the best thing , cos it doesn't slip and is comfy and mops up loads of sweat

I found the pad on the US C2 site to be useless, not that it costs that much. You can use it with the backing on and I didn't slip off when I did that, although I agree it wouldn't last that long doing that. The foam is not that soft though, so I found just a soft piece of closed cell foam to be more comfortable than the C2 pad.<br><br>The skwoosh pad looks nice, I would like to do another marathon and that would help alot. For some reason, the UK C2 site sells something called the deluxe pad, which looks more like this and gets good reviews over there. I would like to try that if I could.

I have seen boat seats that actually has two holes exactly at the human "sitz' bones. It seems that this design is very comfortable because the point where the sitz bones touch the seat get actually in the air. What do you think?
