I am following the UK C2 Indoor Rowing Training Manual 80K Marathon Training Program. Perhaps I'm missing something, but on the face of it, there appear to be errors in the distances in the 24 week program ...

For example:

Week 5/Day2 has a VO2Max 7,000m Workout described as "2 x Alternate(1,000m@5kp/2,000m@MP)" ... I calculate this to be a total of 6,000m and not 7,000m as follows: 1,000m at 5K pace done twice (=2,000) + 2,000m at Marathon pace done twice.(=4,000).

Am I wrong?

There are similar issues, assuming I'm correct, with other workouts as well UNLESS there's an assumption of a warm-up built into the totals. Any ideas, anyone?

Ned Eustace

See page 5.27 line 10

"The final figure is obtained by adding a 1,000m warm-up row before starting the first set of flat out strokes."

Thank you, Godfried ... I thought I was going crazy for a while there! These senior moments can be very disconcerting.
