In NZ we race a 300m and my PB is 46.9 which is a 1:18.2 split. I have only ever done this once and it was a blast literally.

I believe it is a legacy of 'short course' competitions, 100's 300's and 500's. I raced a guy who only competed in these 3 distances over a 2 day comp that also included the traditional 1k and 2k which I also did.

He was a big boy and 'blocked' the sun as he was a bodybuilder and lead me till the last 100m so I am told but he started to tie up and I rolled over the top of him, but not looking forward to the next meeting if he gets in some practise . I think I rated about 55 but should have bumped the drag up to max as I was catching the wheel.

Like the 500 I would never practise for them but they are a bit of fun after the hard work is done

Like sprints even if lightweight and old
You asked in another thread about drag factor. You choose the damper setting 1-10 on your machine. The drag factor differs from machine to machine depending on age, dust, dirt etc. The drag factor will be displayed in the lower right corner of the monitor when you push at the same time both the OK and REST buttons. The drag factor ranges from about min. 100 to max 240. Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Arno
