OK, I need to give my back a rest and was wondering what sort of cross training is recommended to replace my erging. Swimming seems like the best alternative as it is about 90 degrees in the shade where I live. How should I attack a training plan that doesn't involve erging?<br>-thanks

I've found that keeping fit in general, and freestyle swimming and kayak (both with a twist to the spine) in particular, are miracle workers for backpain.
