Yep g'day, thought i'd jump on the bandwagon of this excellent looking forum, seeing as how its hard to find a good one with actual rowers who tend to push themselves instead of posers who i see at my local gym on the concepts, who have quite clearly never been in a boat in their life.

Just wanted to say hi.. am i posting in the right place? Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this

mmm ok, didn't mean to offend anyone. i thought that indoor rowing forums tended to incorporate real rowing too, but that said, i won't make that mistake again. I still spend enough hours on concepts to know what its all about, so perhaps i can still fit in here heh. By posers i meant people who have no grasp of pushing themselves, not actual rowing technique... sorry about that

There are a lot of on-the-water rowers that post here (some of them particularly accomplished, such as Xeno), as well as the land-lubbers like myself that have never been on the water in our lives. I don't think you'll find many gym posers though; be we OTW rowers or pure ergers, we're a gritty bunch, almost all of whom regularly reduce ourselves to rasping, gasping pools of sweat on the damn machines.

No offence taken - I just took it a typical Aussie gob spouting off.

They think they've done a good workout after 5 minutes of that. (While I may still have another 55mins left to go on the ergo at 20SPM and 2:00 pace.)
