Quick posting on a good resource:

If there is anyone who has a shell that has been damaged that need repair, I just picked up my 1x from Klinger Engineering in Mass and they do exceptional work. I had some minor damage around the fin trunk and a couple of scratches, and also wanted to get a little reinforcement where the rigger meets the hull. Although I try to take very good care of my boat, stuff happens.

I picked up the boat today and it looks completely new. Not just good, flawless. They didn't miss a detail. I had a chance to talk with Bob Klinger, a former oarsman who can no longer row because of back injuries. He clearly has a a passion for the sport and for his work and my impression is that he is someone of clear integrity.

I thought I would post this note since I felt a lot of anxiety trusting my shell to someone for repairs, and didn't know if there were others who were in the same place. I would recommend Klinger Engineering without hesitation. They really understand shells and they really understand the world of rowing.

Anyway, I realize that this my comments are very positive and also want to mention that I am not associated with Klinger Engineering in any way, received no consideration, etc. I just figured good work and integrity should be praised and also wanted to put the word out about a great resosurce for rowers.

David
