Last night I was going through the Rat’s Nest, a.k.a. my desk, and I ran across a copy of the most recent Concept 2 Update magazine. I had read it before, but I had missed one little item that did manage to catch my eye this time around. In it there is a report of an interview about the USIRSD. A note at the end of the article states that U.S. residency is a requirement. In a recent message on the Standards For Ranking And Records thread, I had mistakenly said that citizenship was a requirement.

My error. My apology.

Bob S.
The mission of the initial USIRDS was completed in November of 2005, with the selection of the USIRT for the EIRC. I haven't seen any announcements as to whether or not there will be a USIRDS for 2006. You don't have to row fast - just be 95 years old.

Bob S.

Once I hit 30 I would like to work towards the goal of making the USIRDS, however whilst I am a US citizen, I am not a resident. I can't be anything but MAD!
