My fiancee torn his intercostal mucsle on the right side please give insite how to help me make him feel better! He is in so much pain...

Again, 20 minutes on.<br />Generally, whichever feels better at the time. Ice will help decrease inflammation, heat will help the muscle relax. <br />Ibuprofen is good as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory agent, but needs to be taken with food so it doesn't tear up the stomach.

Hi,<br /><br />Had this same injury myself, for a while it really shut me down. Sneezing was awful, and the slightest movement could make me very unhappy. It also changed the way I row, relative to pace etc. I now focus on longer slower rows, first out of necessity, and eventually it became habit. One thing that might help is slides if your fiancee intends to keep rowing. Sad to say, time is your only true friend here. Time and doing physical activities gingerly. I am now 8 months past the original injury, and I still feel the occasional twinge. I have heard other people echo this, and anyone who has experience with this type of injury grimaces when they hear about it as they know how long it can take to heal. One other note, and an important one. Orgasm can exacerbate this injury in the extreme. Be very careful when hunting rabbits.<br /><br />Barry
