DING, DING, DING! AND NOW FOR THE DAILY DOUBLE!

Here are some interesting questions for indoor rowing historians that involve "doubling," in this case, across weight divisions.

In the age divisions through the 60s (i.e., excluding the 70s, 80s, and 90s),

(1) does anyone have CRASH-B hammers in both a lwt and a hwt division?

(2) does anyone have CRASH-B hammers in some age group in both a lwt and a hwt division?

(3) has any lwt ever won the CRASH-B openweight division with their lwt row?

(4) has anyone ever won one of the major championships (e.g., BIRC) as a lwt and another of major championships (e.g., WIRC/CRASH-Bs) as a hwt in the same year?

(5) has anyone ever won one of the major championships (e.g, BIRC) as a lwt and another of the major championships (e.g., WIRC/CRASH-Bs) as a hwt?

(6) has any lwt ever broken a hwt WR?

Historians?

ranger

Ah. It looks as though Joan van Blom might be able to do one of more of these things, now, although I don't think that she actually has yet.

With her recent 7:21 in the 50-54 women's age division, Joan might be able to nip Anna Bailey, who rowed 7:23 today at BIRC.

Any others?

ranger

Anna is a formidable competitor, as well as Carie Graves. I don't think I'm a match for them, but thank you for mentioning the possibility.

Don't know where I got the 7:21.

You must _really_ be impressive. We think you are even better than you are, even when you are already the best!

ranger
