Western Canada Races?

Are there any C2 races being held in W. Canada on a regular basis. I live in rural Manitoba, far removed from any of the big races, even quite remote (300+ KM)from any major urban centres. While still rowing at a snail's pace, I would like to participate in a race of some sort 12 months from now. Thanks!

Sparky,<br><br>If you live far from any big cities then chances are there will not be many ergo races close to you. If you're lucky there may be one a year somewhere close to you, but I doubt more. Is there a rowing club (water) close to you, where you could join and take part in ergo tests there?<br><br>Otherwise you really have two options - travel further to race - I'm not really up on the geography of Canada, so I don't really know where you are to suggest races close to you, only one I know of is ergomania near Seattle somewhere, but I don't know how far north you are from there. The other option would be internet races, when you can race whenever you want with people all around the world.<br><br>Pete

Thanks Pete. We are about 1200 km from Seattle, so we won't be making that trip anytime soon, but with any kind of luck we will have high speed internet here within the year so I could give the online race a try.
