I have begun to experience some pain in my right hip flexor. Could this be due to bad rowing form? Am I pulling too hard on the straps? The pain actually abates after I have rowed for about 5 minutes. I have cut back from 10k a day and have taken more days off. This seems to allow me to keep rowing. Intervals aggravate it more than a steady pace piece. Any thoughts?

Could be a number of things, of course. Do you stretch your hip flexors after warm-up? That fact that the pain abates seems to indicated that it's needed.

Neil

I have the same problem occasionally, and it only happens when I don't take the time to either 1) warm up then stretch before erging or 2) cool down then stretch again after my workout.

Lots of good stretches in the C2 Training Guide <a href='
