Hi Ladies!

In my constant pursuit to make things fun and challenging, I have been given a great idea by LindaM. How about setting up a virtual team for the ladies? Of course we would need a catchy name! Any thoughts or ideas out there?

Let me know what you think. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since this is all new territory for me.

Thanks,
Sue

Hey Sue,
I think that I women's team would be great and you could definitely count me in. I'm 18 and have been rowing for several years now. My first indoor meet was this past Saturday and I ranked 3rd in the women's lightweight (8:31.1). Next time I'm going for 1st or 2nd and I joined this site to train outside of my team. I don't have a name in mind for a team, but I'll work on it.
let me know how things go,
Amiel

Great Amiel!
Boy, are we going to have a wide range of ages and abilities! Well, that's what will make this team unique!
I'll keep thinking of a clever name, too!

Later,
Sue

Hi Carole -
We look forward to your input! I knew we wouldn't be able to get you since you are already spoken for. Unless there is some rule that says you can be on more than one team! Hmmmmm..... I guess that would be cheating, wouldn't it? Well, we sure don't want that! Maybe we'll have a category for honorary team supporters!

Keep the ideas coming!
Sue

I'm a Taff...and once a Taff, always a Taff! (Don't worry, Godfried, I know you would just hate it if I went away and took my *&^%$$% challenge with me!)

I'm a member of the Ancient Mariners already. Nice group of super-ergers there, so I wouldn't want to leave them. Us old geezers havea lot of time on our hands Iguess, because we erg more meters than even those Taffies.

There are lots of newbie 'lurker' ladies out there looking for information & support. A ladies group can provide a really positive place (both public & private) for motivation.

Go you young whippersnappers!

grams

grams

Wow Carole! You've been hard at work! I'm kind of partial to the Ergettes for now.

Say - how come I'm hearing more from other team members? Where are all the ladies? I know you're out there!!

We will need all the help we can get from you seasoned veterans! Keep your input coming. Thanks!
Sue

Hi! I'm new to the forum. I'd love to join if possible, just got my rower this week and am still working out the bugs of setting it up (have to play with the monitor when i get home to get it working).

I rowed in college (stopped about 5-6 years ago), and just now saved up for the erg. Would be a slow addition to the group at first, but if you are willing I am too!

Lets see, am 27 y.o. female heavyweight hoping to drop to light eventually as I regain some fitness.

If there's not room I'll be here to cheer ya'll on with encouragment. Also a little explanation of how this all works would be great too! Thanks!

snappy

P.S. I like Ergettes, and Ducks in a Row. Will see if i can think of any other suggestions. Oh, and the Sexy Sliders one is another fave...almost spit my drink out on that one!

I'll join a team! I like having competition - it's easier to convince myself to make it to the gym if I'm doing it for something more than just myself
-Liz
