You can make a team very happy with a time like that : <a href='

I will be happy to join you. Let me know if you like to row side by side with you for the first 4k, after which I will drop my pace, or just row my own pace (about 1:42/1:43) from the start.
I hope you can join Joe Greco and me at a HM either Jan 7th or Jan 15th at 15:00 GMT. If you do, please et me know if you have any preference for the date.

Jaap

Apart from it being in the middle of my on water rowing season we are also experiencing our first major heat wave this summer. Average temperature 35 C /96 F with no change expected before Saturday. Andreas as you are also in the Southern Hemisphere how are you managing to row such good times in the heat? Do you have air conditioning?

It's a shame because I'm getting fitter and stronger with my on water training but have had no opportunity to test any gains out on the erg. Last two days in perfect flat water conditions I've been doing 3 X 2K pieces. I feel pumped with explosive power despite losing 4kg lately from working out in the heat. I will race again online as soon as the conditions allow it.

Rockin Roland
We could do a "drop out" race. The pace would be 1:42, each of us would start at that pace and hold it until we have to drop out. It would be a nice painful way to finish the year. Plus, anybody could join.

Cheers,

Paul Flack

Obviously I will be one of the earlier droppers 'cause my PB for 6K is 21:12 and I'm not looking for a PB (I have to run a Sylvester race 6 hours later ) but it will be fun!!!

See you

Just take them out of the start as if you are heading for a new 2k PB, they won't be able to resist chasing the rabbit as it heads over the hill, then every once in a while ease off for some active rest and just before they catch up, sprint away as best you can. Repeat as often as possible before dropping out.

In other words: "Lather, rinse, repeat."

Now shhhhh, be sure to keep this secret....

It wasn't full speed but took me more effort than I would have thought. Lost some training motivation after the Dutch IRC 3 weeks ago. It's a good thing to have some internet races in the planning such as tomorrow's 6k and the HM on January 7-th. I will try to keep you company as long as I can.

Jaap
