Just noticed that I can download WIRC and EIRC files into RowPro (see below). Can't figure out where to find these files. anyone figure how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Ernie

CRASH-B and BIRC Rowfiles
BOSTON, Mar 28, 2005 - Digital Rowing has announced the opening of an online Rowfile Library containing downloadable stroke-by-stroke records of every participant's 2000m race at major Indoor Rowing races like CRASH-B and the BIRC.

This means RowPro users worldwide now have a huge selection of Rowfiles they can download, with individual performances ranging from the very top of the sport to times almost anyone can match at home.

"This is a very important milestone" says Digital Rowing President Pete Loeffen. "Previously, the only Rowfiles available were from RowPro users who had uploaded results direct from RowPro to their Concept2 Online Logbook and then listed them on the Concept2 Online Ranking. The Rowfile Library changes all that. Now there are thousands of Rowfiles available covering a wide range of competitive performance levels. That's a huge step forward for everyone."

The Rowfile Library opens with the complete set of Rowfiles for every competitor at the World Indoor Rowing Championships (CRASH-B Sprints) held in Boston USA, Sunday Feb 13, 2005, and the British Indoor Rowing Championships (BIRC) held in Birmingham UK, Sunday Nov 21, 2004.

Digital Rowing has worked with Concept2 to capture stroke data at CRASH-B and the BIRC 'on the day'. In the following weeks, Digital Rowing carried out the translation work to convert the stroke data into RowPro Rowfiles. "We expect to get faster at the translations in future, now that we have the technology worked out" says Pete Loeffen. "Our goal is to make the Rowfiles available as soon as possible after the big events. Over time, we may also extend to other major Indoor Rowing events."

The new Rowfile Library acts as a central database of Rowfiles from major Indoor Rowing races, opening up some exciting new possibilities. For example, people who competed at one of the races covered by the Rowfile Library can get the Rowfile for their own race, and the Rowfiles of any other contestants in their race, put them into the lanes beside their own boat in RowPro, and race against them stroke by stroke as part of their preparation for the next year's event.

Others can have fun racing the world's best and seeing how long they can keep up. "Just imagine the excitement of racing next to Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell" says Digital Rowing Vice-President Pam Loeffen "as they power down the course. Where else can you get that experience?"

"We've been working on this technology for months now" says Pete Loeffen, "and we're very pleased to be ready so soon after the CRASH-B Sprints. Interest has been high, with thousands of CRASH-B and BIRC competitors keen to get their hands on these Rowfiles. This opens up an exciting new era in Indoor Rowing."
