I just created a heat for Saturday morning at 8AM. I'll need your 6k SBs. Mine in in my signature. (I'll make sure I write the times down this weekend before saving the session).

Whether I'll be a LW or HW will depend on if I can lose a pound or two I gained last week and get from 166 this morning to 165 or under by Saturday morning. Not sure it matters for the HC Race; maybe only the straight race.

I'll be shooting for a PB of 2:04 pace and a 24:48 finish, regardless of my current SB/PB. Handicap either way, if I'm not the turtle, is fine by me. I feel the 2:04 pace is well within my grasp.

Thanks -- Mark

Hi Bill
My sb is 21:41.0. This time will be very difficult to do better because this time is 5 seconds over pb but the handicap races are different and if I am well I hope break it.
Pedro

Bill,

Count me in for your Saturday morning race. My PB/SB in 6k is 24:56.8.

Mark,

I am going to try for a 2:03.5 pace. We might be pretty close.

Cute baby! We LOVE babies in our house. My baby is now 15.5 and getting ready to drive. Make sure you get in lots of good kisses and hugs now, while you can. Now, I'm only allowed a hug and kiss when nobody could possibly be looking -- it would be way too embarassing to be seen you know. My wife is crushed by this.

Regards -- Mark

I'm tentatively saying I'll be in the race. I'll wait to sign up just in case it fills before I know for sure.

This is my sb/pb for 6K: 21:39.6.

Jeff

How do you handle this?

Bill,

Technically as long as his goal is faster than his SB he can ask for anything he wants. Perhaps it is his way of mentally motivating himself to a new PB. Most of us won't score anything but the 10 appearance points for rowing so there is not a big risk in doing this.

Frank

Don't start too fast! I'm looking forward to one heck of a finish!

Pedro and Jeff also have a battle in the rear, and then we'll all be chased in the last bit by Sir Pirate. Yikes. My heart rate is going up right now, just thinking of it...

Hi Bill,

I have joined the session and have a SB of 20:56.8 so I guess I will be setting off after about 4:00 ? I have been suffering with a cold for a few weeks so will be way off that but having missed the first 2 weekends I need to enter all the remaining weeks to at least get the 10 participation points.

Nigel.
