Jaap, great job. Very impressive.

The 10k today was good for me. A couple of days ago, I had done a 12k and had a hard time with a 1:52 pace which resulted in me stopping after the 10k mark. Today, I did good with 1:52 and finished the last 2k under 7:00. It was a real fun battle with Nigel in the last 2k.

Later,
Thomas

Well I'm glad everyone else got to row. My internet connection went down as we were coming under "starter's orders" and I was left to row my 10k in splendid isolation.

I was exceptionally annoyed, and took out my frustrations on the first 5k. My intention was to row the whole piece at 20spm or lower. I was going along at 1:52/1:53 pace during the first 5k, which is almost "season's best" pace. I paid the price in the second half, and limped home in just under 38 minutes, with my arms feeling like they were about to drop off. Legs and lungs were fine, which is my one consolation from the session.

DP
