Hi Sir Pirate. Sorry I've been silent for a couple weeks now - had a knee injury and then got caught up in holiday stuff. I'm totally game for doing a half marathon. Unfortunately, I just committed to some short-distance events through this weekend - but am happy to join next weekend. I'll even volunteer to admin if that would be of help. How does Sunday Jan 9 strike you?

Sorry Mark, but I'll be out of town Jan 9th . However, I noticed the 100K got a couple of votes too, so that race should be coming up soon. I found out last night you can set up a 100K on Rowpro as a "QUICK ROW" . Started one last night as a test, and everything worked on the PM2+ display. Projected finishing time is fun to watch . Did 31K and called the test a success.

I guess I'll administer that one. What's a good weekend for you guys? Oh, and be sure and send me your best 100K time so I can handicap it properly.

Cheers,
Jeff

Alain, it is kind of you to offer, but I think people may find it difficult to join a row in mid-week (20-21GMT is also during working hours for Americans, but I realize the world does NOT revolve around us ).

If its the 15th or 16th, I'm happy to admin - perhaps around our most frequent race times of 1500-1600GMT.

After this weekend - I'll be more than happy to sign up for any distance other than 2k!

What time is good for everyone?

As an aside, I think I'm going to limit my posts to the e-row/rowpro forums from now on. I can't believe the misinformation and outright BS that gets floated and passed off as advice to newbies in some of the other forums. Not going to re-hash it here, but I just never noticed until I strayed into the other threads.

One question though . . . . whenever I sit on the line with rowpro for a delayed start, my oars will not move once I get going, so it looks like I have a motor boat. Anyone else have that problem? Maybe beta 5 will solve the bug.

Cheers,
Jeff

Shall we say 4:30pm GMT on 15th January 2005. If that is ok with all, then Mark can set the race up, as he kindly said he would admin it.

All those that are going to take park will need to list there seasons best time for a HM so we can work out the handicaps.

Normal rules apply.

Sir Pirate
