Best new 6k time: 23:27. Upping the spm from 23 to 26 helped me drop 11sec, so hopefully next time I'm trying for under 23:20.

Had a try on the hour, but just got my PB for this year with + 4 m (14944 m, phew!). It was very hot and humid, perhaps I missed an adequate blowing device?

Finally did a 10k...

38:14.0

It felt good to finally establish a time with this. I like the ranking in the new age bracket! (Top 18%!) I'm looking forward to ranking the other events.

PB for running the 10k (at least PB for the last 18 years):
43:36; 91 sec down from my previous PB in april.
It was during the popular race "Cursa de la Mercé" in Barcelona, quite crowded (about 6000 participants), the first km took me nearly 6 min!

My first online race with a 6k. Frank Knight and Neo were gracious to fall back and let me draft. Those were some pretty big wakes I got to coast on...

6k - 22:26.8

My previous best was 22:55.0. Yikes...

This was a very consistent pace for me... the highest was 1:52.8 and the lowest was 1:52.0 (Other than my 1:48.8 on the last one.) The HR went over 170 just after 2k. I lifted in the morning before this and did a 3.5k warmup. I guess the leg, back, and biceps workout added a bit of pre-fatigue to this. Oh, well. I feel great.

Now it's time to go celebrate yet another birthday. My daughter's 4th birthday was yesterday and my youngest son's 1st was on Wednesday. Today it's off to the aquarium with their 6 cousins from New York, then BBQ, pinata, etc. Joy!!! (I'm glad I got the workout out of the way).

Thanks again Frank & Sir Pirate.
