14k for me today

Wolverine lvl 2 3k, 2.5k, 2k at 1.08 times best 2k pace
Nice workout.

Great rowing by all the members of the Eh!Team.

I am still working on the website and rowbot to reflect the contibutions of the Trans Atlantic Crew better. I am looking forward to when we can merge the 2 boats as it will keep the logistics a lot simpler

We are over 6 million meters on the Cross Canada Row.

Keep on rowin',

Jim

Happy New Year all,

Congratulations to Brian, Krysta, Mark and whom ever else I've missed.

Just back from a ski/snowshoeing break in the "always fabulous" Lake Louise.

Also, I have to confess to the Calgary sunshine enticing me to run not erg yesterday (sorry team).

However, 10km on the C2 for me today (Jan 2nd)

Incidentally my 2005 totals were:

Erging: 1258 Km's (786 miles) inc a 1:29:15 HM
Running: 1204 Km's (753 miles) inc a 1:29:26 HM

My intention is to alternate erging and running in 2006 ... until the Calgary weather gets crappy again and then it'll be more erging than running

You and Krista are setting the world on fire . Since Krista didn't brag here I'll do it for her (Since she's my sister in law ) She did a marathon in 3:06:55 yesterday!!! I'd imagine she's feeling it today!

Thanks, John. And yeah, I was feeling it a bit today. Mostly my abs were sore, which was unexpected since I didn't really think rowing targetted them that much.

I tried to do a hard 400m x 2min interval session today but it was a bit of a flop. Goal of 1:46, results were more like 1:50. Should have probably just stuck to easy recovery rowing today.

I see we are only 8k shy of 3rd place in the January Team Challenge, so I may hop back on and put in a few more easy kms before retiring for the night.

- Krysta

The range is likely specified in the manual somewhere, but I think your fan may be a bit dirty.

Sorry for the delayed response Mark. I row at the local family YMCA so the only way to get the ergs cleaned is to ask. I did that last week and I'll see when I get there.

Congrats on all the fine rowing. I'll say to all so that I don't miss anyone.
Heading off to the Y today to contribute to the Jan. C. Will post later.
Cheers,
Kirk

16.5k for me today 1/3. I did another workout towards the CTC. 3X500@20s/m 1:58 pace. I'm going to back off on intensity (those are hard ) and do some easy distense with a bit of speed work until Saturday, (when I make an attempt at the Cross Team Challenge.) Shannon is planning on making her first try within the next few days. Hopefully we'll fill up a boat in the near future . Go Eh Team!!!

Otherwise I automatically post them to the Trans Atlantic Boat (which is flying by the way). We need to finish the Cross Canada Row and then we can all get into the same boat for the around the world tour.

I am looking forward to all of us getting in the same boat as my "rowbot" is coming along well. All of the updating of the google earth file is now automatic for theTrans Atlantic Row. I have to post rows for the Cross Canada Row manually.

I hope this clarifies the murky state of affairs, eh.

Bottom line, keep on rowin'

Jim

Let me try to clarify things further:

Rows performed by:
Francois Audet
John Berryman
Rob Clayton
Jim Corkal
Mark Keating
DArcy McKittrick
Brian Turner
Jill Vandal

are automatically EXCLUDED
from the Trans Atlantic Boat, but they are posted towards the January challenge. I am only able to post them to the Cross Canada boat if the kilometers are posted here.

Rows by all other members of the January Challenge are automatically attributed to the trans atlantic boat whether they are posted here or not.

It is the "rowbot" that is doing these automatic exlcusions/inclusions. I still have some control over the rowbot, so let me know if you want to change boats.
We will all be in the same boat as soon as the Cross Canada row is completed.

I hope this makes things a little clearer, don't hesitate to ask or suggest or ....

Keep on rowin',

Jim
