2000 meters in ten minutes!!! I had both knees scoped at the same time, ten days ago and now the rehab begins. Feels good to be back on the erg. Still got swelling so I can't compress very much on the catch.

Did my first timed 2k on water. I am currently good for 6:43 on machine estimated and my weight is 77kg.

So...I guess I could be half decent on water having put about 250k on water? err not!

I have a slow beginners boat, conditions were not ideal, a strong side wind, I did 7 "crabs" as we say in swedish (when the oar gets caught in water and you almost completely stop) , I did however have a 10 sec lead after 1200m over a guy I thought would beat me, so I didnt _have_ to push it, and I thought there would be another 250 m to go when I passed the finish line so I didnt push a finish sprint either. So...alot of excuses but still...

Completion time: 8:51

Hopefully I can be more efficient with more k's on water

Anybody else trying to go from erg to water? How is it going?

Extremely lazy today (no really!):

3 x 1k pieces trying various small technique changes. All very slow at a low spm, tomorrows HM will tell if they make any difference, mainly working on the catch to eliminate a sore back over the longer distances.

Oops posted double so I edit...

Today I was in a 4 men scull at 06:30. We rowed 13k. To start with iwas ok, chilly and rainy and a bit windy. Then it got so windy and rainy the rain hurt on the neck and waves were continually ramming up and over the boat. Don't think I could have moved a single scull against the wind.

Now, it's just a nice experience to have =)

I just checked the wind observations. 15-18m/s...and 11 degrees celsius.
