I think we need more rowers, eh?

It's only 42 k to Hope, so hopefully we get there this weekend.

Jim

In fact we stopped in Hope overnight, on the way to Vancouver Island.

Have a great weekend.

Thanx, Rob. You have put us into a beautiful area.

The small town of Popkum is home to Bridal Veil Falls. If we had headed north, we would have crossed the Fraser River on the Agassiz-Harrison Bridge.

I plan on retiring in the little village of Harrison.

Jim

OK guys and gooses, you may want to sit down before you read this ...

but I actually rowed today. Yessirree, a rather long, laborious 5k where the only thing resembling a blistering pace was my heart rate but that's 5 more k than I've done in the past six weeks.

Onwards and eastwards, I say!!

Mark

Way to go guys, Yukon John has put us into Hope.
For all of you movie fanatics out there, Hope is where the first Rambo movie, "First Blood" was filmed. Check out the scenery

We will be leaving the Fraser Valley now and heading into the Cascade mountains. Up the Coquihalla highway to Merritt.

Keep on rowing.

Jim

I think we can either sneak around the toll booth with our scull on the river or we can try and hide it on the top of one of the transport trucks.

I am open for more suggetions as to how we get past. They probably don't even have a rate for a scull.

Jim

Hi
So I did 7.213 k today. (although maybe you guys just round off to nearest k?)
I must confess to still being a little confused. I checked the Eh Team profile clicking on the number next to the ranking (currently 70th) and it shows 6 individuals. And yet, would there not be 7 now? Also, must I log metres both here and in the logbook? That is not a complaint, I simply would like to know if the system is connected, or if it is two measurements running parallel? Anyone know what I'm getting at?
Ok, good luck to everyone, I absolutely love the photos being put up of each area! Will help me improve my knowledge of Canadian geography!
GB

I notice you do not show up yet either, maybe it happens with your next log in on the Concept2 site,eh.

As for the posting, you do have to "double post". One to the log book and a message here. I am working on getting a small program going that you could post your miles and a message on the Cross Canada Row site and it would automatically update here and in your Concept2 log book. Don't hold your breath on that one. If any of you reading this are .html or .net programmers maybe you could give a few tips eh.

In the meantime, if you post a message here with your distance, I will update the site. I usually round down to the nearest .5k and I don't take anything under 1k.

What a slave driver, I know.

Keep 'em coming.

Jim

Ok,
I used a different web browser to update my profile and I think that it is now working. I hadn't even checked out the Cross Canada Row site before! I thought it was only this forum. The map looks great! I'll be sure to post my erg metres here and in the logbook. Good luck to one all! I hope to contribute a consistent amount each week.
GB
