Done. Finally. 200,207 total meters. The last 100k was in the last 4 days.

The reports of 2 million meters in the same time is amazing. Now let's all go spend time with our families.

I learned not to do a 4x1k 8 hours after a 2x40'. Now that really, really sucked.

And yes, while I haven't done it, I would agree that doing 4 x 1K only 8 hours after 2x40' (L4 I assume), would be a "bit of work".

Still waiting for the kids to awake here ... with only 3 teenagers with us, they want to sleep and we want to get up, open gifts, and eat a Christmas breakfast. You, on the other hand, must have been up for quite a while with the little ones.

Have a great day!

Regards -- Mark

He couldn't stay still. I changed a diaper, and put him on the couch so I could get a few more winks. Heard a bang, and went back out. This time I smelled a poopie diaper. (The diapers and wipes are in the the 15 month's old room). So I crept into there, trying not to wake another one (it's 6AM by this time), and successfully got the diaper changed without waking another kid. Then the first one crawls back into our bed and promptly falls asleep! 20 minutes later, I hear the oldest coming down the stairs, a big inhale, and the sound of running feet into our bedroom yelling "Mommy, Daddy, guess what?". Momma felt sorry form me for some reason and took care of this one. Then the 15 month old woke up. I went in, changed him, and pulled him up with me onto the reclining/rocking chair in his room under a nice warm blanket. Eventually, I had to give up on this one as well. Put him down and he was off. Went back to our bedroom, to see the oldest boy still asleep in our bed, so I joined him. (7:45 by now). Then my mom calls from the car on the way to our house from the airport. Lovely. Got a few more winks, and finally gave up at 8:15, got dressed and had a lovely Christmas morning. Now they're almost all taking naps.

I guess that 4x1k wasn't so hard after all. (And yes the 2x40' was a level 4- 184/188/184/192).

It's good to be back in the swing of training...

I remember those days. My daughter (who is now 15.5) used to love to jump into our bed (once she learned how to repel from her closed crib very quietly) by getting up onto the chest at the foot of the bed (we have a very high bed) and launching herself directly toward my groin screamimg DAAAADEEEEEEE!!! I can attest ... she NEVER missed. Try waking up that way every day or two! You hear the scream just about a millisecond before the "impact". I now sing soprano exclusively.

(Maybe you do wake up that way!)

I was away last week, and training got interrupted. I did a 60' L4 today, very early, 180.176.180.184.176.180, with 1K wu & 1K cd. It was good to get back on track. Tomorrow, the good 'ole 4 x 1,000.

Now, just 90 minutes more and the Christmas fowl (turkey) is ready to be consumed! Magnifico!

Hope you managed a short nap as well.

-- Mark

So has anyone got a clue to what we can do over in the UK to get a hoodie? Should I contact C2 UK to see?

I'm glad I did it, my last three 10k rows were fast, I will carry on (maybe not such a relentless pace) but it definitely has improved my stroke for the better - even my regular neck ache has gone!

Final meterage was 200,459. - Phew!

Your thoughts and support is appreciated.

Joel.

didn't get to start until december 8th, because of some foreign travel (no erg, no nothing) so it was pretty much straight 10K plus to finish it. got 200, 137m, and then took the next 4 days off to exercise outdoors again (kayak). i've got a 68 mile race coming up in early march, so time to get back in shape for that. glad to have completed the HC again, though.

i can't decide whether to be impressed by people doing over 1 million meters in this time period, or to wonder whether they need to find some other interests.

happy new year,

andrew

200,196. Friday was my last row, and it s-u-c-k-e-d. Only 9.5K, but we were in a hurry to head up north for the holidays, and I did NOT like working out under deadline. Guess racing's not in my future, eh?

I love the Challenge. Before Thanksgiving, my season daily avg was 300-some. I'm shooting for 100K/mo for the new year.

Er... anyone else not gotten theirs yet? I ordered on Dec. 28, got the confirmation, and... nothin'. Sent off an inquiring e-mail this morning...
