Hey I am excited!
I just improved my 500m for the first time in 3 years!!!!!

Just in case Chad or John Rupp are reading this IT WAS ON SLIDES but then so were all my other attempts on it since last May or so.

Previous best in 2004 was 148, and I just got a 145.6!!!! The Nonathlon score finally got into the 900s. I think maybe actually I will be able to get better at sprinting after all.

Yesterday at the Crash B's I tried ergmonitor, and PaulS mentioned that he could see why I was getting that little small bump at the beginning of each stroke on the curve--I was starting to open my back just a tad too soon. Now I have been trying not to do that forever, but he told me to pretend I was never going to open the back. I did that for about 5K today, also concentrating on all the things Tom Bohrer told me, and lo and behold, the little bump on the force curve is gone now on about 3/4 of my strokes. It feels ever so much stronger! and then I tried the 500 and it felt like nothing at all. (not that I did any more rowing after, though).

Happy me!!!!

Thanks PaulS & Tom!

It was rowed after another attempt on an earlier day ON SLIDES. I ranked that one last year because it was FASTER WITHOUT THE SLIDES. I do almost all my rowing on slides so now almost all my ranking pieces are ranked ON SLIDES. Anyone can see this by checking when they look at the ranked pieces.

Have a nice day!

Mumbles and mpukita, you like name calling don't you? You don't like it when you can't answer questions that are put to you. Lets start name calling as we don’t have anything constructive to say.

Fact!!
You can go quicker on slides!! Seat5 rows on slides and 99.9% of other CTC members do not, that gives her an unfair advantage over all other competitors.

I think one of you is due a feed and the other a nap, that’s what babies do after all.

Mpukita I bet you have a squint, as you find the light so bright when you take your head out of Dwaynes a**

Did anyone, at any time, say that slides couldn't be used for the CTC? I don't believe I heard that at all. Everyone who started this event (the Brits I believe) hasn't stepped in and said 'hey, you can't use slides'. Or anyone from any of the other teams for that matter. This is a friendly competition. Nothing earth shattering. Nothing life changing.

Get a grip Chad. And please get off the TA thread. This is not the place for w**kers and a**holes.

Cool, I am not picking on Seat5, just stating what I see. She has at no time hidden the fact that she rows on slides.

It is upto the CTC to set the rules, it says nothing in the rules about the use of slides.

Good 300m Seat5 8)
