He also is a big supporter of slides.

I also forgot to add regarding my 1 sec/500 time advantage on slides: nearly all my rowing experience has been on the water, or on slides. Of the millions of total meters, I doubt I have more than a few hundred thousand on a stationary erg.

Cheers,
Jeff

Since RowPro takes it's signal from the PM, it would seem quite possible to set up a situation where it may even run on the same computer as ErgMonitor.

What is your particular Hardware setup? I can make a suggestion as where to start.

Erg Model?
PM Model?
Destop or Laptop Computer?

Since you have vastly more time in on slides/boats than on a ground bound Erg, my guess would be that you might have some things to learn by being on the grounded Erg. It's kind of like going back to basics and using Macon blades to get technique cleaned up so that the "lastest greatest" blades can provide a benefit.

I've finally been putting in more boat time than Erg time, the Erg time is split about 70/30 (Slides/Ground). I did the comparative test for force profiles of the Grounded Erg and Slides, and was happy to see there was some convergence from a similar test a year ago. This signals that my theory that the profiles get closer as technique improves may well be validated, assuming that the improvements I'm seeing in boat performance are due to improvement in technique. This is quite likely, since I have not been working hard enough to have improved fitness.
