That was, with out a doubt the most fun I've had in an online race. We were all right there at the end and I think four of us were within a second of each other. Very cool.

Well either the racing that we've been doing or the little bit of speed work we've been doing must be kicking in. I started out at 1:40 because I didn't want to go too fast. When I saw the pirate just about to catch me I kicked it into high gear. I had negative splits the whole way in and felt really good. I ended up doing the last 500 meters at about 1:35 pace.

I really didn't feel bad at the end so I'm almost disapointed. Now I'm really looking forward to next week.

Good race guys.

Jeff

For 6 of us it looks like it was a PB. What a crazy finish with RowPro in 3D. I just put my head down and pulled to stay ahead of Holm.

Is there a way to replay this in 3d? I thought I saw that somewhere, but can't find it now.

I'd like to thank all of you.

One of my goals for this, my first season, was to be in the 50th percentile or higher (or would that be lower?) for every distance 10K and below. I just noticed that yesterday's 1K race was the first time I was able to accomplish this, slipping in at the 49th percentile.

I could not have done this without the great support and encouragement here on the forums.

I've also done all of my PBs as a HW, since my weight hovers around 166. I do need to get in some serious meters, eat carefully, drop a few pounds, and then try for some PBs as a lightweight. Competing against the big guys is a huge battle being that I'm only 5' 7".

-- Mark
