I think that walking is not an activity that demands more oxygen intake than rowing, so there might be some biased data. But, in the passed few days, I've been doing some web research on this, and, by now, I've just concluded two things: one, VO2 max must be measured by sport-specific movement, so, most comparisons are not valid ones, since they are made by running (worst for rowers); two: altitude training might give an additional advantage to skiers.<br>Anyway, I am confused: it seems that, out there, there is data for any taste... even sicentifical, it seems!<br> <br>One more thing, Roland: I saw your time for a 2k in the c2 ranking: it's rather powerfull, for your age!<br><br>AM

I own both a Concept 2 and Waterrower and have used both extensively. Both kick butt. I don't see a lot of difference. Concept 2 customer service has been superior but both are very well made machines.
