chad (if that's your real name), i don't know what you can pull for 2000m, but we all know that d.adams has never broken 7' in a race, so, even on the off chance he shows up to compete in boston (i would take odds 100 to 1 that he doesn't), it won't be him you'll have to worry about.

7 minutes!!!
..and c2 paid his way to europe and back, all included - twice!!

the least he could do, not for me or for anyone else on this forum but for the company that put their trust (and their own $$) in him, is to take part in one of the events this same company organizes and repay their trust with a row that's worth it.

chickenlegs (my real nickname)

Do we know what race it was at? Or, as we used to tell our daughter when she was four, "bad actions". And she actually understand that.

I second that suggestion Michael!

Chad, you can even use Chad as your name, RowPro won't care -- no need to blow your cover. Come on, go for it mate, go rip off a sub-6 row and get it ranked ... RACE, IND_V, no worries, we'll take either ... but none of this live witnesses stuff, especially if they're more than 10M away from the erg.

Any sports club can draft or sign a big player, and that player could get hurt first match and be done with their career. So much for the large signing bonuses, etc. Money down the drain so to speak.

C2 pays for an athlete's trip in hopes they'll perform, but with no guarantees. The fact that the athletes participate gets C2 what they've paid for -- advertising, attention, new customers -- after all, it's all about selling ergs for them. The actual performance is pretty much inconsequential ... by the time the races start, they've already accrued their benefits ... and likely then some ... or they wouldn't do it.

The names get the crowd, not the performance (you buy your ticket, so to speak, before anyone races). The performance gets the crowd next time, maybe.

Regards -- Mark

I don't think it was (not saying it means anything, don't want to start another bajillion page thread, etc. etc.). The date of the row is mid October, still on the water season, so unlikely to be any races this time of year. Also, the time was entered early in the morning on the same date, so again unlikely to have been a race. If I remember correctly (I haven't entered a time in a while), the person who enters the time indicates whether it was done at a race or individually. So it was probably just a slip of the finger, so to speak, otherwise I'm sure Dwayne would have mentioned it.
