Pete and I raced in Manchester yesterday in the last GP of the season.

I managed an 8:08 which was great as my first "post mono/glandular fever" comp. I really didn't think I could go that fast and was all upset after warming up and having 1k at 2:22 hurt. I managed it though and got silver! I'm confident I'll be back to 7:40 soon and 7:30 not far off.

Pete did a 6:25.4 to secure his overall silver medal in the Grand Prix. He placed 5th and raced a really comfortable race. I know he would have liked to have gone faster, but he was looking at the big picture of the GP medal and a fly and die might have cost him that.

We also did a team relay with Mad teammates Sam and Nadine and did 3k at 9:03. Great fun there and came home with a gold medal and even beat some of the men's teams.
