I never changed the gearing when I moved here from Oz. I'm too proud to ride a roady with a triple chainring, but I guess with the "hills" around here I could be forgiven.

Its going to be interesting this year, as it will be the first time I have started the riding season here under 89kg (85kg now and still counting down). I have my C2 to thank for that!!

cityeast,

Looks like you're doing well in dropping some of the unneeded pounds. Best of luck to you.

Yoda

Thanx Yoda,

However, it is possible the weight loss has brought about another problem:

In the first month or so of erging I completed 40-60min rows without any real discomfort. Now I am finding I am getting a numb or aching posterior towards the very end of longer rows.

Is this because my "padding" is disappearing?

cityeast,

I don't think I have enough experience to try an answer why your bottom is going to sleep. Maybe you should change out the ERG seat to a bike seat. YaHa.
I'm sure one of the more knowlegeable folks on the forum can tell you. I know that when it happened to me, I just moved about a 1/2" further back on the seat and I haven't had the problem again.

Hey, take care

Yoda
