I am so excited! I just completed my first half marathon!

I started with the intention of doing 10,000 metres ( the daily average I need to hit 2MM by the end of this season).

I felt good, so decided to go for 15,000 - the most I had rowed in one sitting in the past.

Once I got to 15,000 and was still feeling good, I decided to go for the half marathon. I had to get my daughter to look up the distance for me. I was at 20,000 when she told me. I had been rowing fairly easy, so I had to push it then to bring it in under 2 hours - 1:58:52. What fun!

Marie
That's great Marie! Especially the part about your daughter. Can't find a clickable Gold Star, so you'll have to use your imagination.
Another shot at the CTC 300 meters

55.5 seconds, 53 spm, on slides, from a dead flywheel

I'll try again in a few days. This was better than other attempts, mostly because I just did a quick 1K warm up. The last few times I tried after rowing 8--10K. I guess it really pays to be fresh for it.

I still think it's a really stupid distance.

I still haven't given it a proper go, with short strokes. Next month's Rugby Challenge doesn't promise to be much better for me, either. I hope we can do a nice long unrestricted distance sometime!
Started one last night and was on schedule for an av. of 201.5 and stupidly quit at around 8800. I was so mad at myself. So I made myself do a 1K and got a PB on that. I'm terrified of the Rugby test. It's going to be really really awful. Somehow the intervals being different lengths makes it seem worse, you don't know how to pace it. ewwww
