Congratulations Dwayne !!!!
Incredible time!
I hope that you will be included on the USIRT. (I would think people could understand an exception being made in this case.)

David
Yesterday, 10 reps of 3' @202w (2:00 pace) and 18spm (drag 93 strapless). 1' rests. I really like this session and have had it in my core sessions for a few weeks now. Probably a few more weeks here.

I'm normally ingraining 10mps (a great blend of power and endurance for 2k racing/training), but have been on a little detour/phase simply working on my drive power (above all else). I'm certain I can replug into 10mps work again soon and may be better off for it. One thing is for sure, 10mps, once considered a "heavy" workout is nothing. A good thing, I think, to get behind you.

Started a "6k period" now that I'll hold for 6 weeks or so. A submaximal 6k once a week progressing in intensity and percentage of max effort.

I have done this twice before with 10k's and I really like the type of plan. I will accompany my 6ks with easy 60min pieces as before, and a submaximal 6mile run once a week.

First 6k was at 263.6w = 21:59.0 wich is actually a tangented PB I believe but it was so long ago I did a 6k. It felt _very_ relaxed. 25-26 spm. Next week will be 265w target and then so on according to how it feels.

I don't follow this lay up strictly, there are a lot of calls for 500m sprint competitions and so on water right now and also when in a team boat there are some burst of power during long tours, but I think that only does good as well, maintaining strength a bit and having more fun. Good feelings are very important to build up your body and want to keep training I believe. It also makes training a more natural thing to do in terms of "life management" or what one should call it.

Well, enough rambling from my side.
