Well, focused on that 8th position, I decided to do an 11,000m session to leapfrog Carla and Martin (for now anyway).

It was a hard row as I'm not used to that sort of distance (especially as a second row in the day) but the sense of relief and achievement at the end of it made it worth it.

I think Ricky's 7th position is very safe as that 137,000m gap is too much to contemplate. So I'm happy to battle it out with Carla and Martin to the benefit of Taff Attack's overall metres.

Keep rowing guys...

Great wedding, great weekend.

Im off to New Zealand this morning, and will be rowing for Taff Attack in the NZ National Championships on Sept 11th - GAME ON!

Apologies for lack of meters, see you all in 3 weeks.

PS - Its 18,342,000 meters to New Zealand. At my current ave pace of 3.88 m/s, I could do it in 54 days, 17 hours, 8 minutes, and 38.4 seconds. Im just wondering whether I should take the plane or the erg?

I'm back! You guys have been doing some great stuff while I've been away, what with 3 x 2Ks

Best wishes to Chris on his wedding--here's to many years of pulling together in a pair!

We were camping in Acadia National Park for a week, biking a bit, about 100 miles or so on gravel roads. The terrain there is fairly hilly. Lots of hills at 1 mile+, some 2 miles+ long. It was great. No hiking for me, Achilles still bothering a bit. Biking was OK but not record breaking--I can feel the muscles in the lower calf wanting to pull if I push too hard with it...

Anyway, hope to be defending my spot on the Taff Team starting tonight

Carla

Carla,

Glad to see you're back on the rower! I look forward to seeing the team metres increasing accordingly and also battling out positions with you. (Just watch you don't push that achilles too hard! ).

Niall

Taffs,
Looks like the U of NM is pulling away from us. SUCKS!!! Do we want that #6 spot?! I think we do.

So here's how were gonna do it (I hope). Just when you feel like you can't do another meter, do another 100. If you think you have another 1k in you, do another 500. If nothing else pull that chain just one more time after you think you're going to quit for that session.

We can do it!!!

Speedy

Great idea, Speedy!

We can't let those New Mexicans beat the Taffs!

I did 1K more than my planned 5K. I admit they were junk meters--all of them--but there were 6000 of them. So there, UNM!

Carla

Great effort Carla. As far as the Taff attack on UoNM, the quality of the metres isn't important, it's the metres themselves!

Go Girl!!!
