Walking wounded over here today--I was dumb and didn't do a cool down after. Ouch.

Then again, I didn't think I could take 10 seconds off last time--that was the goal, but I overshot it by 16 seconds. It really helped that my sister was there to holler at me at the end. Until 500 meters to go I was just shy of the goal, based on the pace I was at. I've never had anyone even around when doing PBs before. I had asked her to do a count, but she didn't even know when to count, which I thought was hysterical. So she just yelled GO and Go FASTER and at random moments--but just having someone there helped me not to listen to the little guy in my head yelling "QUIT before your stomach comes out your nose!"

I don't even think I could take a second off.

New PB in the 60min this morning, had to blow off some steam from the bad day yesterday. (I locked myself out of my car and I got a ticket for having a headlight out!)
14132 is the new one, ave split is 2:07.3, I think the ave spm was about 22...
Not a terrible improvement over the last best at 14099, could still easily go faster tho.
I find that Rammstein makes good music to erg to, at least for me
Keep on erging, it's a good time of year for it!

Heather

And I totally agree about Rammstein for erg-tunes. Du Hast! I have no idea what they're saying, but it sure sounds good.

I also like System of a Down for rowing. When I do my hard 300m intervals I listen to the song, Revenga, over and over. (I have to use earphones, because it's not really baby-friendly music)

- Krysta
Its all you pesky young whippersnappers also setting new pbs who are getting in my way. I'm glad to see it.

grams

Well, I did the CTC 6k again this afternoon at 23:52.5 (5 sec PB). I made a valiant effort to catch you, Carla, but it was in vain. Still, I am glad I tried. I wouldn't have got this latest PB if you hadn't provided me the incentive.

- Krysta
(Swamp Hen)
